Stars Over Stonington is the COMO's annual fundraiser that brings together our community to celebrate and honor outstanding individuals and organizations making a significant impact in our community. The gala also serves to provide critical funding for facility upgrades, organizational needs, and program scholarships. Past events have funded energy-efficient windows, laptops for youth STEAM programs, a literacy loft for preschoolers, and more.

Stonington Garden Club

Established in 1926, the Stonington Garden Club is a dynamic all-volunteer organization whose purpose is to educate and encourage interest in the environment and conservation, support community projects, and stimulate the knowledge and love of gardening. Some of the club's many projects include funding environmental scholarships and after school garden programs, maintaining the gardens at the COMO Children's Learning Garden, Stonington Borough Post Office, Lighthouse Museum, and the Wayland's Wharf Rain Garden, and participating in community outreach projects to benefit our local community. The club's passion for cultivating and maintaining our local green spaces has had a profound impact on the well-being and quality of life of our residents.

Ann Lobdell

A dedicated member of the COMO’s Paddle Tennis Advisory Group (PTAG), Ann was instrumental in the building of the initial paddle tennis courts back in 2014. A committed paddle player and COMO supporter, Ann also led the fundraising efforts for the most recent reconstruction of the courts for the 10 year anniversary in 2024.
