About COMO Pickleball

Pickleball is a fun sport combining elements of tennis, badminton, and table tennis. It can be played indoors or outdoors. It has gained popularity in the last few years thanks partly to its accessibility to people of varying skill levels. It is less physically demanding than similar racquet sports but still provides an opportunity for exercise and social interaction.

The COMO currently has two indoor and two outdoor courts. The indoor courts are located in the COMO gymnasium located at the COMO main building. The indoor courts have permanent lines and portable nets. The outdoor courts are located on Courts 1 and 4 of the paddle tennis courts during the summer season. Access to indoor and outdoor pickleball courts is included for all active adult members (ages 18+) at the COMO free of charge. Membership is required. Please note that basic youth memberships do not include access to the pickleball courts.

Access

Active members who would like to play pickleball should register online for the free pickleball program, after which an access card will be created and mailed to you. If you already have a card, access will be added to your current card. Cards can be used to enter the front exterior and interior doors of the main building during indoor pickleball open play hours. Please bring your card each time you play. Lost cards are subject to a $10 replacement fee. You only need to register once for the pickleball program. Your card will then be active until your COMO membership expires.

PICKLEBALL OPEN PLAY SCHEDULE*

The COMO indoor pickleball courts are currently under construction while HVAC is installed in the gym. A new schedule will be coming out once construction is complete.

Outdoor Court Schedule (Begins July 17)

Paddle Courts 1 and 4
Monday 10:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.
Wednesday 10:30 a.m. - 1 p.m.
Friday 10:30 a.m. - 1:30 p.m.

COMO Pickleball House Rules

All players must have an active COMO Membership and be over the age of 18.
For indoor play, The first group in sets up nets, last group breaks them down. Please return all equipment to its proper storage place.
If there are players waiting to get on the court, follow the two games played, and then off model.
Please bring your own paddle and pickle balls. The COMO will have extra paddles and balls for those who need them but we cannot accommodate supplying paddles and balls for all players.
Do not slam your paddles on the court.
Bathrooms are available in the hallway for indoor pickleball and next to the Thrift Shop for outdoor pickleball. Please keep this space clean.
This is a shared use space. Please clean up any messes made.
For the safety of all players, If you see a chair on the sidelines, please put it in the rack prior to playing.
