Colleen started out as a quilter in 1987. Her love of vintage linens, laces, and garments steered her in the direction of recreating aprons and clothing. She uses vintage handkerchiefs, bureau scarves, table runners, scraps of quilts, feed sacks, wedding dresses and lace and even hand dyes some of the pieces to recreate half aprons into full aprons and to give old garments a new look.

Another Bright Idea showcases technical art with a function. David started Another Bright Idea because of his innate curiosity and fascination with industrial artifacts which drive his creativity. David is self-taught as a metal-smith and inventor d'art and he is training his daughter Marci to do the same. The two find different objects originally designed purely for function and turn a dusty junk pile into a one-of-a-kind collector's item.
